Bachmann

Bachmann, founded in the United States but now a Bermuda-registered, Chinese-owned company, originates all the way back in 1833. The company did not start producing model trains however until much later in 1968 with the sudden popularity of N scale model railroading in the US. H0 trains followed soon after in 1970, as well as G scale in 1988. In that same year Bachmann introduced the "Spectrum" line of higher quality models, but it has been phasing out the Spectrum name. Throughout the years, Bachmann has taken over multiple companies worldwide, such as Williams Electric Trains, Liliput in Austria and Graham Farish in the UK.
