On September 2, 1994, railroad enthusiasts had the opportunity to take a unique trip with the "Modellbunn Express" from Luxembourg to Göppingen, Germany. "Modellbunn Express" means nothing more than "Model Railroad Express". The reason for this name lies in the composition of the train which consisted exclusively of locomotives and cars in the Märklin assortment.
A 17 kilogram (approx. 38 pounds) coat-of-arms for the city of Göppingen was mounted on the locomotive as part of the festivities at the destination station. A "Videowaggon" was part of the train's composition in addition to several passenger cars and a "Rendezvous" car.
This locomotive was produced as a one-time series only in 1995.
