The Belgian State Railways class 16 multi-system locomotive has three different pantographs, with which it can change freely from the Belgian to the Dutch, German or French catenary systems. In the German Federal Railroad network it comes with, among others, InterCity trains from Ostende as far as Cologne.

Note that the no. 1606 locomotive was produced between 1989-1992. In the years after, Märklin made the no. 1608 locomotive while keeping the same product number.
