Additional information

Former German State Railroad Company (DRG) class 03.10. 3 axles powered through side rods. 2 traction tires. Electronic reverse unit. Length over buffers 27.4 cm (10-3/4").

In the years 1939 to 1941 the German State Railroad (DR) ordered 60 class 0310 express steam locomotives. These three-cylinder units were given a streamlined fairing with enclosed or open wheel skirting. The Märklin model's prototype is a locomotive with open skirting. The dark gray livery is a departure from the usual black color for steam locomotives and follows the regulations for painting streamlined steam locomotives.
