Steam locomotive class 93 of the DB (formerly Prussian T14). Length over buffers: 167 mm.
Wheel arrangement 2-8-2. Starting in 1919 the K.P.E.V. procured the reworked T14 from the Union Foundry at Königsberg for mixed traffic on short main- and important branch lines. Unfortunately the reworked engine showed shortcomings typical of its original design. Nevertheless, the locomotive was a success confirmed by the long period of procurement and the total numbers ordered. The Württemberg State Railways as well had two series consisting of 35 locomotives of this class built at the engine works Esslingen. 444 locomotives remained in the territory of the Federal Republic, 172 locomotives remained in the Russian occupied zone. The last DB engines of this class were taken out of service in 1969, the DR retired them in 1970.
